Managing Director
Dr. Edmund Lee is a distinguished entrepreneur and financial expert who has been at the helm of Aprove Ventures Sdn Bhd since 2021. Under his visionary leadership, the company has grown from its foundations to a thriving powerhouse in the financial services and corporate advisory sector. His strategic direction enabled Aprove Ventures to secure a major loan approval for Large Scale Solar (LSS4) in 2022, valued at over RM 160 million, as reported by The Edge Weekly. Additionally, his influence has extended across industries such as agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, marine construction, and trading, facilitating loan approvals exceeding RM 610 million annually from over 95% of Malaysia’s local banking institutions.

With over 15 years of experience spanning the SME, commercial, and corporate finance sectors, Dr. Edmund has successfully assisted more than 1,500 clients across Malaysia, China, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UAE. His expertise in lending credit, fundraising, risk management, banking, investing, sales, strategic planning, and business development has been instrumental in driving corporate success.
Academically, Dr. Edmund holds a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Hertfordshire and a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Wilmington Metropolitan University. He also holds esteemed directorial positions in prominent financial firms, including Swift Capital Group Sdn Bhd, Quicklend Capital Sdn Bhd, and Aprove Asia Advisory Pte Ltd (Singapore). His deep understanding of start-ups, SMEs, and large-scale enterprises has positioned him as a key strategist in enhancing financial growth and sustainability.
Before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, Dr. Edmund dedicated over a decade to the corporate banking sector, gaining valuable experience as a commercial and corporate banker. However, his passion for business and investment led him to take a leap of faith during the COVID-19 era, stepping out of the banking industry to build his own company. His determination, coupled with the support of trusted business partners, elite staff, and a loyal clientele, paved the way for Aprove Ventures’ remarkable growth in its very first year.
Dr. Edmund’s philosophy is rooted in action and perseverance, believing that success begins when one stops waiting and starts striving towards their goals. His contributions and thought leadership have been widely recognized, earning him accolades such as the 2024 Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT by FYC) and a feature in CITYPlus x The Sun for discussing financial strategies for SMEs. He is also honored in the Britishpedia Media’s “Successful People in Malaysia and Singapore” (7th Edition).

Mr. Alex brings over 20 years of expertise in corporate finance evaluation and financial position assessment, serving clients across diverse industries such as trading, manufacturing, logistics, oil & gas, construction, and property development. His deep understanding of financial structures and strategic planning has made him a trusted advisor in the industry.

S.H. Kee began her journey with Aprove Group as a Senior Financial Consultant, where she quickly distinguished herself through her expertise and dedication. She later advanced into senior management and now plays a key role in leading the Group’s corporate finance functions alongside Mr. Alex Lim.

Mr. Marcus Chai is a seasoned sales leader with over 15 years of strategic leadership experience across diverse financial landscape, specializing in retail banking products and call centre management. He demonstrated excellence in managing large teams across multiple distribution channels and geographical areas, including Great China, Malaysia and Singapore.

Throughout his career, Marcus has successfully built and managed large-scale sales teams, led call center operations with over 200 employees, and designed sales effectiveness frameworks that prioritize quality, compliance, and results. His hands-on approach to leadership, combined with deep market knowledge, has enabled him to coach high-performing teams, streamline operations, and consistently exceed business targets.
Academically, Marcus holds a Master of Business Administration from the United Business School in Belgium and a Diploma in Technology (Mechanical & Manufacturing) from Tunku Abdul Rahman College. He has also completed executive courses in Fintech: Innovation and Transformation in Financial Services at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School Executive Education and in Data Science with Lead.io. His strong foundation in both business and technology positions him as a forward-thinking strategist—committed to driving financial innovation, sustainable growth, and long-term value for clients.
